baseball drama

Good afternoon my Scraptastic friends! I was hoping to be able to sit down and do some scrapping last night after Declan's baseball game, but as we were leaving, my husband was throwing away a metal circle of some sort that Bailey had been playing with. He went to bend it in half so that it would fit in the trash can, but instead when he bent it, it broke and then one of the pieces went into his finger pretty deep. Needless to say, had to make a trip to the urgent care and he got a tetanus shot, some antibiotics and pain meds. Poor guy!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!

lovin' both of these kits

Good morning my Scraptastic friends! Today I'd like to share a card that I made last night with the "In The Hood" kit.....which is now sold out.

Home Sweet Home

What a fun line this is to work with.....love it! I based this card on this weeks card sketch over at Let's Scrap.

As I mentioned above....all of the "In The Hood" kits and add-ons are gone....but there's still one of each left of the second May kit "Classic Girl"

happy easter.....

Good morning my Scraptastic friends! and Happy Easter too......yesterday I was a busy busy scrapper.

Who Say's LO of my daughter.....I based on a new song from Selena Gomez that Bailey kept singing, and it got stuck in my head.....but the lyrics were perfect for what I had in mind for a LO......the sketch is from last week's sketch over at Sketch Inspiration, I can't wait to see what this week's sketch is....for this LO I used the "Classic Girl" kit and Add-On, really love those CP trims.

Here's my Wall Art for What's Scrapping?

I used the new "Classic Girl" kit, the only thing not from the kit are the AC chipboard thickers. I based my Wall Art this week on the grid challenge that I found over at Lily Bee's Blog. I made this one for my sister-in-law, I hope that she likes it.....

I also got a couple of LO's done with the "In The Hood" kit.
First up is The Pre-School Posse in the House (this is how we roll).....

And last, but not least, is Grammy & Lil' Dude (happy together)

Have a very Happy Easter!

home is where the heart is........

Good morning my Scraptastic friends! Tomorrow is the last day of Tax Season....and I can't wait.
When I got home from work on Friday, some of the 2nd May kit which I'm calling "Classic Girl" was waiting on my doorstep. I just couldn't help tearing into some of those papers, they're just so pretty......

Here's my new wall art......"Home Is Where The Heart Is".....

Here's how I did it. I cut out 6 3x3 squares from 3 of the PP. I used my Glue Glider Pro to attach one of each to my background. For the other 3, I used my Imaginisce D-Stress tool around all of the edges, then I used my AC dimensional foam squares to attach them to the squares already on my paper. The teal letters are AC Thickers Jewelry Box Glitter Aqua, the black letters are Cosmo Cricket chipboard licorice, and the red letters are AC Thickers Playroom Cherry felt, all were from my stash. For the butterfly, I used some of my smooch spritz.....first I sprayed the whole butterfly with "Sun Kissed" and when that dried I sprayed it with "Black Velvet", and then one more time with "Sun Kissed". I glued on two buttons that I had left over from the Scraptastic Club April Kit "Enjoy the Little Things", and for the antennas I used a couple of coursage pins, I colored the "white pearl" with a black sharpie.

Enjoy The Little Things

Hi everyone! Heather here... I talked to Jessica last night and she agreed to let me post on the blog this morning. I thought it would be fun to share the last few layouts that I made with the April "Enjoy The Little Things" kit and add on.

1: Waiting for Spring

Journaling: Lady loves being outside now that it's getting warmer. 2/2009

To create the mottled effect on the chipboard butterfly I painted it with light blue paint and then sprayed it with a darker blue Maya Mist. Then I added black stickles around the edges to make it pop off of the page. I added a few teal pearls from my stash. This layout is based on Pencil Lines sketch # 232.

2: Laugh Out Loud

Journaling: The 3 of you make me laugh out loud all day! 6/2010

The teal pearls and few flowers came from my stash. I based this page on Susan Stringfellow's sketch #56. I am sorry the photo isn't the greatest. I had a hard time capturing the colors of this one accurately. This is as close as I got!

3: When We're Home

Journaling: Seeing you so down and depressed breaks my heart. When we're out in public you put on a different face. You smile and pretend to be happy but when we're home you feel safe enough to let it all out. Sometimes your mood swings disrupt the whole house. We try to understand that it's your bipolar disorder that makes you act this way.

The teal pearls and brown cardstock were added from my stash. I based this layout on Sketch Inspiration's sketch #214.

4: The Love Birds

I've loved this photo of my great grandparents ever since my grandma found it online on a genealogy site. I highlighted them by cutting out the center of a journaling spot to circle them. They look so happy and in love here.

Journaling: My great grandparents Merlin + Aline at the Longman family reunion.

The flowers and lace are from my stash. The yellow twine is from the March Scraptastic Club kit called "Princess For A Day". I based this last layout on a sketch that I made. I was sketch happy this month! It makes scrapbooking so much quicker when you've got three small kiddos running around shrieking!

finally a scrappy night.....

Good morning my Scraptastic friends! It's Sunday which means it's another wall art project for What's Scrapping? I've been so busy all week trying to get tax stuff done (only one week left) so last night I sat down and did some wall art.....and here's what I have to share this morning.....
Butterfly Garden

I used mostly Crate Paper's "Sweet Branch" line. I cut out 5 3x3 PP for both the top and bottom squares. On two of each row of squares I used my AC square foam dimensional dots to pop them up. The paper butterflies are from the Crate Paper's "Sweet Branch" die cuts, and the glittery butterflies I found on clearance at Michaels. The middle strip was cut at 3x12.

Can't wait for this next week to be done and over with so I can get back to my normal routine of scrapping. I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

welcoming spring.....

Good morning my Scraptastic friends....It's Sunday which means two things.....1. Tonight is the season premier of True Blood on HBO (is it 9 o'clock yet?) and 2. I'm sharing some more wall art today for What's Scrapping...Welcoming Spring.....

for this project I used some Kraft colored chipboard (that's what I use as backing for packing the Scraptastic kits). I cut the lime colored cardstock at 4 inches and the green cardstock at 3 1/2 inches, then I cut little "strips" at the top of each one and quilled them using my Imaginisce Petal Roller. I attached them to the chipboard using my Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro. I then used some of my Smooch Spritz Olive Green shimmer. All of the embellishments are from the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness line, the mini alphas are October Afternoon Mini Market Stickers and the regular alphas are AC Foam Thickers.

Thanks for letting me share with you today.....have a great Sunday!
